We have the pleasure to exhibit “Play!” by Guillaume Vieira.
Play! is an polyssemic word that refers equally to either a static gesture without physical commitment from the individual – besides pressing the “play” button to start any electronic device – but also to the opposite gesture: the concrete act to participate on a joyful activity without any preconceived concepitions such as rules, scores, interest or prediction.
Play! is a series of thirteen photographs that explore the distance between contemplation and acting, serving as content situations from sports, group activities and other particular interactions.
