Fragments

“Maria Beatitude, plastic artist, was born in the north of Portugal.

She paints mostly oil on canvas and she states that her works, and the themes to which
it is dedicated, define the approach, the techniques and the materials to be used.
With an expressive gesture, sometimes a little rough, the result always ends up showing
a feminine side, antagonistically rude and delicate. Preferring to work series instead of
single frames, the artist tells stories of simple architectures but that leads us to labyrinthine
universes. Maria Beatitude’s paintings are genuine and unpretentious, sometimes

disarming, but making us ponder well beyond the displayed image.”
