Summer Nights Series: Arts Workshop

The Arte Institute is pleased to present an “Arts Workshop” for children by Rute Ventura, as part of the Summer Nights Series 2018.

The Arte Institute invites children (ages between 6 and 12) to participate on a hands-on art workshop. Participants will engage in arts-based learning, developing their skills in art making, making cultural connections and strengthening their critical thinking abilities. Key art related vocabulary would be incorporated into this workshop that will be firmly based in the ideal of process over product. Children will explore painting and collage techniques while being introduced to both American and Portuguese artists.
