RHI Stage – SURTO by Santiago Turenne and Miguel Jaime

Arte Institute and RHI Initiative present “SURTO” at RHI Stage.
Surto is a continuous action; a body on top of the other; a fury; a contemplation, suspension and tranquility of an image; it`s sex; it´s a punch.
The duo is the result of the appropriation, the unfolding and the fusion of the materials worked in three artistic residences (in Portugal, Mexico and Uruguay). Immersed in the sensation of occupying time, existing in the uniqueness of each moment, the performers weave a dramaturgy of simple and concrete actions guided by the desire to renew each day the challenges of their own doing, in an attempt that the work always remains alive and open to new senses.
Miguel Jaime and Santiago Turenne are the creators of a collaborative platform for creation, management and exchange that produced, among other activities, the first creation in partnership of the duo called “Señal” (2008).
