Hélder Bruno Martins was born in Coimbra, in 1976, and has always lived in Lousã.
In 2018 he edited his first original album A Presença, serena e terna. His second album Under a Water Sky, was released in May 2022, at Teatro Académico Gil Vicente in Coimbra. This last work counted with the participation of: Maria João (jazz singer), Sérgio Carolino (tuba), Mafalda Camilo (voice), Marito Marques (percussion), Ana Maria Rosa (voice), O Gajo (viola campaniça), Carlos Martins “Rato” (voice), Maria Kagan and Tünde Hadady (violins), Rogério Monteiro (viola d’arco), Feodor Kolpashnikov (cello), Miguel Falcão (double bass).
On 20 May 2023 he wins the Best World Music Performance category at the International Portuguese Music Awards – IPMA, with the theme Island from the album Under a Water Sky.
