 Field: Arts The curator and artist Isabel Pavão will be part of the show “Cartografia do Feminino” opening at Rogue Space Gallery (508 W 26th Street), October 21-26. The show was curated by the artist and will also inclued works by Rita Barros; Margarida Correia; Maria Clara Pereira and Joana Ricou.
Isabel Pavão
Isabel Pavão, artist, lives and works in New York since 1990. 
Exhibits her work in New York City, and in many museums and galleries all over the world. Participates often as an invited artist as well as a guest professor in Universities, Art Schools, and Museums. She presents on Contemporary Art, on art projects dealing with her own work, pedagogical issues and Aesthetics.
She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Porto Academy of Fine Arts, in 1982
Master of Arts degree from the University of Paris VIII, in 1988
Doctor of Arts degree, PhD, from New York University, 1994
Creative Director of a TV program “Healing Waters and Baths of Europe”. Belongs to the Board of Directors of Cinema Arts Center, Huntington, N.Y., part of Development and Fundraising Committee.  Professor of Art History, Borough of Manhattan Community College. She is also member of the advisory board of Arte Institute.
