Denise Costa, Production Assistant for United Nations Radio will host the talk with Joana Vicente and Benedita Pereira at MoMA (4 W 54 street), on October 16 at 7 pm.

Denise Costa was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and lived there most of her childhood. At the age of 11 her family decided to move to Portugal, and start a new life in the country of their origins. Finished high-school and then decided to take her degree in Mass Communications at the Catholic University of Portugal, in Lisbon. In 2002, a few months after she concluded her course of studies she was offered an internship at a local Portuguese television station, (SPT TV) and moved to the United States, New York, for three months. Later in that year she started working as a Manager and Public Relations for Alfama Restaurant. At the same time she kept following her passion for television and in 2004 she accepted the offer of being a journalist and host for a weekly show called, “Contacto” transmitted on RTP International, a Portuguese public broadcaster. Denise Costa has been involved in organizing and producing events, related with the Portuguese Community in the states of New York and New Jersey. At the present moment, she works for the United Nations, as a Production Assistant for UN Radio in Portuguese. 
 
The talk will be followed by the screening of the movie: “Three Seasons” produced by Joana Vicente, directed by Tony Bui and starring Harvey Keitel.
