Liberdade – Freedom
As part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Carnation Revolution in Portugal, which returned freedom to the Portuguese people and the countries that, at that time, were still Portuguese colonies, we invited artists from these countries to celebrate the event and freedom itself – a value that was so necessary at the time, as it is today.
These artworks were created by CPLP – Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries – artists (Abraão Vicente, Bruno Miguel, Carolina M Correia, Cinara Saiónára, Guilherme Atanásio, Maria Barreira, Nah Pinheiro, Sandrine Cordeiro, Susa Monteiro e Thierry Ferreira) who, through their art, celebrate their concept of freedom, materializing it in very different ways.
Take a look at this exhibition if you’re passing through Dulles Airport, in Washington, until the end of September.
