The Arte Institute and the RHI Initiative are pleased to present ´ANUSIM – what is hiden is never lost` at the Miami Theater Center, in Miami Shores, on April 2.

The companies, Dança em Diálogos from Portugal and Dance Now Miami! from the USA, will perform together again, after the successful premiere of the ballet show at Casino Estoril, as part of the 3rd edition of the RHI Initiative.

Synopsis:
The piece “ANUSIM – What is hidden is never lost” came from an encounter between two creative impulses, distant in their territory of action, but converging in the search for a common perspective on a theme that reflects the complexity of social relations – in their differences and cultural traits – over several recurring cycles in the history of the human condition.

As a starting point for the creation, the word ANUSIM, refers to the expulsion and forced conversion of the Jewish community in Portugal, at the end of the 15th century. Thus, this word carries a memory that finds echoes today, particularly in the migration crises and also in the successive events of racial, ethnic and religious violence in the 5 continents, besides the current and worrying geo-political tensions.
