Walk for Rare Portugal
The Arte Institute supports the III Edition of the initiative Walk for Rare, taking place in Cascais on February 26th. This initiative wants to give visibility and raise awareness of rare diseases’ impact on everyone’s lives, from patients to caregivers and the scientific community.
Organized by the non-profit organization Addapters Org and with the support of the Municipality of Cascais, Walk For Rare has its 3rd edition this year. Everyone can participate in the walk, in person or virtually through social networks.
Walk For Rare is an official Rare Disease Day event and is open to everyone, either in person on February 26th, at 10:30 am in Cascais Bay, or virtually, worldwide, between February 25th and 28th. The challenge to all the participants is to walk about 2km and share photos of their walks on social media using the hashtags #JuntosSomosRaros, #WalkForRare #WalkForRarePortugal.
The entry fee is €8.00 ($8.00). Applications are open until February 25th and can be done online at www.walkforrare.org. All participants can also make donations that will revert to support the ongoing projects of Addapters Org.
