Arte Institute and RHI Initiative present a concert by Cachupa Psicadélica at RHI Stage.
Born and raised in the 80s in Mindelo (Cape Verde), and living Portugal since the early-00’s, Cachupa Psicadélica uniquely blends traditional Cape Verdean/creole roots with psychedelia and alt-rock influences – a musical journey that kicks off in the Lisbon Suburbs, where he has lived for many years. “Music for photosynthesis”.
He has collaborated with Branko (Buraka Som Sistema), fado star Crsitina Branco, Mayra Andrade, amongst many others, and was nominated for best Cape Verdean music act in 2017.
After having released his debut album, Último Caboverdiano Triste, in 2015, Cachupa Psicadélica has now released POMBA PARDAL, a self-produced 12- track album, that features several musical guests, from local hip hop star Chullage to guitar-legend Flak.
