The Arte Institute is pleased to present the documentary “Portuguese From Soho – A Story That Changed Its Geography” at Teatro del Anglo in Uruguay.

Synopsis | 
The documentary “Portuguese from Soho – A story that changed its geography” tells the story of the Portuguese emigrants that arrived in SoHo after the Second World War. Through their story, we discover the history of this neighbourhood and of the city of New York.

This screening is part of a Eunics’ cinema program presenting films from various European countries that deal with migration from different perspectives. All projections will be followed by a presentation and a forum for subsequent debate, by the writer and journalist Christian Font.
