Children from all ages are welcome!
In this workshop participants will be invited to explore movement as a tool for communication.
By introducing techniques and concepts of dance improvisation, such as language and chance,
we will explore the possibilities of communicating through the moving body.

Sara Silva is passionate about dance and its potential as a tool for cultural diplomacy and crosscultural communication. She holds a diploma in dance from the Portuguese National
Dance Conservatory and the Rotterdam Dance Academy. Additionally, she has a BA and a post-bachelor in cultural management from the Portuguese Catholic University.
In 2009, she received a grant by the Cultural Ministry of Portugal to work in Macau, China. She
joined Albergue SCM as Education Coordinator and started to teach ballet in Hong Kong. She was a Fulbright scholar and a MA Candidate in Arts Management at American University in Washington, DC and works at the American Dance Institute.
