From November 5 to 7, the 9th São Tomé Literature Festival brings literature, cinema, and music into conversation, creating opportunities to connect with writers, readers, and artists.
Created by Arte Institute in partnership with the Embassy of São Tomé and Príncipe and Camões — Institute for Cooperation and Language, the festival celebrates the collaboration that brought it to life. Now in its ninth edition, it continues to build cultural connections and champion artistic exchange.
The programme includes conversations on São Toméan literature and access to books, activities with author Maria Inês Almeida, encounters with students, a screening of the 2026 NY Portuguese Short Film Festival, and a musical performance by David Garcez.
Three days to share stories, inspire new readers, and celebrate culture as a place where we meet.
