On 31 May, Vivo Rio hosted a unique concert that brought together the best of contemporary indie music from Portugal and Brazil. 

A huge thank you to Capitão Fausto, Jovem Dionísio and Terno Rei for your artistic talent and for sharing the stage in this cultural collaboration, as well as to the Chiquinha Gonzaga and Maré do Amanhã orchestras, who elevated the evening with an incredible orchestral dimension. Thank you also to Vivo Rio for hosting us. 

A special thank you to Galp for its vital support in making this concert happen and for continuing to invest in the internationalisation of contemporary Portuguese culture.

This concert is proof that investing in Portugal’s creative and artistic sector generates real returns.

Capitão Fausto have now reached 1 million views in a single month on social media, with Brazil becoming the country where they are most listened and view to, overtaking Portugal for the first time, and Rio de Janeiro standing out as the city that consumes their music the most. 

Moments like this remind us of what live music and cultural exchange can achieve: opening up new horizons, building new audiences, opening up a new financial market and taking contemporary Portuguese music further than ever before.
