Júlio Resende is a musician, pianist and portuguese composer.
Resende has a background in Classical Music, that he loves, but he soon discovered that he was not satisfied with just being a performer of compositions in which he could not improvise.
Júlio has already recorded four published records, following a path which originated in Classical training, matured through Jazz and recently arrived at Fado, in a perfect blend that makes such a fusion of musical genres appear to be the most obvious of things.
The intense and very relevant path through the universe of jazz, led him to think improvisation about other musical genres. He arrives now to Fado, where he crosses tradition with modernity and launches, from his piano, a new look about the Portugue- se Song.
Based on some of the most popular songs of Amália Rodrigues – the Diva of Fado – Júlio Resende presents a new challenge: to bring Fado to the piano; to sing melodies with the piano, instead of merely accompanying them; to express with a piano everything Fado stands for.
Talented and creative improviser, Júlio goes even further and risks an (Im)possible Duet with Amália, serving the diva’s voice with his piano on the track “Medo”.
Amália by Júlio Resende was unanimously acclaimed by all the Portuguese musical criticism and it has recieved CHOC DISC*****5 Stars by the prestigious French magazine CLASSICA, which ranks the best musicians and instrumentalists of the world.

Sofia Ribeiro > Music

Sofia Ribeiro is one of the greatest voices from Portugal, a magnificent singer who has the ability to immediately attract the listener to her unique musical universe, where she blends elements of jazz, Brazilian and Portuguese music. Well-known for her strong and emotional performances, the outstanding Portuguese singer has been captivating audiences all over the world with her charming and powerful sound.
For the past 12 years, Sofia has been performing intensively all over Europe and South America with her own projects and also as a sideman, playing with top musicians from different nationalities. She won several international prizes.
Filipe Freitas > Music

Bossanova with Filipe Freitas on guitar/vocals and special guest Tom Armstrong on percussion, revisiting tunes from Tom Jobim, Caetano Veloso, Chico Buarque, Djavan, João Bosco, Gilberto Gil and others.
Playing guitar for more than 15 years, Filipe Freitas developed a sort of obsession for bossanova and Brazilian popular music after listening to some records of Tom Jobim and João Gilberto, in which the harmonic and melodic richness combine in perfection with contagious rhythms. This passion took him to a jazz course in Portugal.

Janis Dellarte and Rezm Orah boarded ship at Cais das Colunas, Lisbon, towards the City of Lights. They have taken their Atlas of organic creations and spontaneous performances across and must figure out how to adapt and reshape their roots to fit in this hectic city that never sleeps.

Has a degree in Communication Design from FBAUP – Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto. In 2009 moves to New York where she studies at ICP – Interna- tional Center of Photography.
Presents portraits of some of the first Portuguese immigrants in SoHo.
