“Saint George” Movie | Screening in LA
Arte Institute suggests the screening of the movie “Saint George” at Dick Clark Screening Room, Los Angeles, on November 5 at 3 pm.
The was movie directed by Marco Martins, produced by Maria João Mayer (Filmes do Tejo) and stars the actor Nuno Lopes (awarded Best Actor Orizzonti Competition – Venice International Film Festival 2016).
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the actor.
Synopsis
Drowning in debt, unemployed boxer Jorge is on the verge of losing his young son and his Brazilian wife. He is one of shocking amounts of Portuguese families and companies unable to repay their loans in the time of European troika bailout measures. Due to his intimidating physique, Jorge must reluctantly accept a job with a collection agency which drags him into a world of violence and crime.
