Arte Institute and RHI Initiative present a concert by Katia Guerreiro at RHI Stage.
Forever and ever a fado singer… Therefore, the new album that Katia Guerreiro currently presents is inevitably called “Sempre”, taking again many people by surprise with an unexpected and invaluable asset: the accurate, impeccable and sensible musical production of the veteran singer-songwriter José Mário Branco.
“Sempre” features the musicians who have been her companions of several journeys and adventures around the world on the common and main mission to represent the Portuguese music, poetry and soul through fado. Pedro de Castro & Luís Guerreiro on the Portuguese guitar, João Mário Veiga & André Ramos on the Fado violas and Franscisco Gaspar on the bass guitar.
With ten albums released, hundreds of concerts in the most prestigious national/internacional stages, festivals in countless countries on several continents, Katia Guerreiro – who has combined the practise of medicine with fado for many years – has also been honoured with important awards in Portugal (Commendation of the Order of Infante D. Henrique) and in France (Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters).
