Arte Institute is pleased to exhibit “I Love You, Oh, You Pay My Rent”  by Sandro Resende and Paulo Romão Brás. The show opens at Rogue Space Gallery – Chelsea, June 13, 6.30 pm. The artists will be present.

 

Can people love things and things pay people’s rent?

 

Sandro Resende and Paulo Romão Brás’ new exhibition project “I Love You, Oh, You Pay My Rent” exposes a method of working together that reflects the materiality that relationships are made of, and – more up to the point – explores the shifting boundaries between people and objects. This is territory where definitions of objecthood or selfhood need to be stretched in order to account for that subliminal state of thingyness, where objects and human beings enter a third zone at the margin of conceptual meaning and certainty.Rogue Space Gallery, June 13, 6.30PM
