Found Memories
On March 27th, The Picture House will be screening Found Memories, the first feature film from Julia Murat that was recently screened at the Toronto International Film Festival among others.
Set within a fictitious town in Brazil, the film follows the life of baker Madalena. One day Rita, a photographer, wanders into town following the abandoned train tracks. While Rita and Madalena form a bond, Rita begins to ask questions about the locked cemetery in the town. Both these questions and the bond between the two women has a deep effect on the town and its residents.
The film begins at 6:30pm and tickets are $12 at the door.
