Arte Box at Dulles Airport: A Language That Unites Us

The Arte Box, an initiative by the Arte Institute, presents the exhibition “A Language That Unites Us” at Washington D.C.’s Dulles International Airport, on display until March 2025.
Inspired by the project “Há uma trança linda nessa sua dança” by Ondjaki and Jordi Burch, this exhibition explores the connections between Portugal and CPLP countries through the Portuguese language, uniting imagery and literature. Participating artists include José L. Peixoto (Portugal), Rita Leitão (Portugal), Ondjaki (Angola), Jordi Burch (Portugal), José Luis Tavares (Cape Verde), Francisco Vidal (Portugal), Odete Semedo (Guinea-Bissau), Sidney Cerqueira (Guinea-Bissau), Afonso Cruz (Portugal), Kwame Souza (São Tomé and Príncipe), Margarida Gato (Portugal), Gilda Barros (Cape Verde), José Eduardo Agualusa (Angola), Ana Miranda (Brazil), Bianca Ramoneda (Brazil), Yoko Nishio (Brazil), Amosse (Mozambique), Butcheca (Mozambique), Luis Cardoso (Timor-Leste), and Gabriela Carrascalão (Timor-Leste).
