This month we have the pleasure to present six shows by the Ballet Company of the City of Niterói and Fundação de Artes de Niterói, coming from Brazil, as part of the RHI initiative.
First, they will present us with three shows of Presenças na Ausência, a creation by the choreographer Esther Weitzman, a composition that deals with a reflective and choreographic look at the cycle of Modernism that had its trajectory marked by the Modern Art Week of 1922.
After that, three more shows of Pedra Doce, by artistic director Fran Mello with the poetics of Cora Coralina and choreography by Ana Vitória Freire. This show talks about the simplicity in Cora Coralina’s poetry and life, and we warn you now: If you are in the audience, expect to be infected by the aroma of the coconut candy made on stage.
