ARTE BOX — Ateliê M | Lisbon
The Arte Institute presents another edition of Arte Box, a project that brings contemporary art to airports around the world, creating unexpected encounters between artists, artworks, and travelers.
On view in the Arrivals area of Humberto Delgado Airport in Lisbon, the exhibition “Ateliê M” transforms a transit space into a true living studio. The works reflect creativity, experimentation, and cultural identity, celebrating the power of art beyond traditional contexts.
This edition highlights the work developed by Ateliê M, a fundamental space in the formation of a new generation of artists from São Tomé and Príncipe, founded by multidisciplinary artist Kwame Sousa. The project affirms art as a tool for expression, education, and cultural transformation.
Featured artists:
Katarina Neto, Patrícia D’Mata, Emerson Quinda and Wilson
If you’re passing through Lisbon, slow down, observe — and let yourself be inspired.
