About Fado & Piano
Fado, Humanity’s Cultural Heritage, is the soundtrack of Portuguese people. Patrícia Teixeira (voice) and Paulo Pires (piano) present the greatest fados of Lisbon and Coimbra in an intimate show, where every word and every sound represents all the history of a people in a soothing and inviting way. The piano arrangements give a special touch to these songs creating a fusion between the traditional Fado, Jazz/Soul and Pop.
Patrícia Teixeira was born in New Jersey in 1994. When she was four years old, she moved to Portugal and since a very young age she has shown her passion for music and demonstrated her ability to sing.
She started her career by performing at music festivals all over Portugal, always receiving awards.
She was a finalist on The Voice Portugal in 2015 and in 2016, she came to the US to sing for the Portuguese community and participated in an international festival called “Universong” in Tenerife as well, receiving her first prize!
After The Voice Portugal, Patrícia has been dedicating her time to a more intensive way of her career, giving concerts all over Portugal, acoustic only or together with a band. For these concerts, she relives her experience on The Voice Portugal while aiming at the future and releasing her first songs of her CD, which she is recording.
