Premiere | Portuguese from SoHo
Arte Institute is pleased to present the screening of the movie “Portuguese from SoHo” at Museum of Modern Art (4W 54th Street), NYC, April 16 at 4.30 pm.
The singer Rita Redshoes will be performing the soundtrack of the movie live. The writer José Luis Peixoto, narrator of the movie, will also be attending.
Synopsis | The documentary “Portuguese from Soho- A story that changed its geography” tells the story of the Portuguese emigrants that arrived to SoHo after the Second World War. Through their story we discover the history of this neighborhood and of the city of New York.
